Abel Tasman Vinyl/Canvas banner
Abel Tasman national park illustrated map, vinyl canvas banner Abel Tasman national park, a truly magical place, as any of you who have have visited will agree. From my original intaglio and watercolour print. The image was created by incising into a plate with a sharp needle. When the ink is applied and then wiped off the surface, ink remains caught in the incisions and creates the impression when passed through a press with the paper. The quote by Joseph Banks, a botanist aboard The Endeavour, describes how wondrous the birdsong in NZ was before the introduction of pests. Recent efforts by Project Janszoon and partners in the park will hopefully one day see the return of this deafening dawn chorus. I cannot wait! Featuring the tui, fantail, kereu, kakariki, fur seals and orca along with other iconic native flora and fauna.
Printed onto vinyl canvas to make it durable and wipeable. Mounted onto timber battens ready to hang straight on the wall Total width 33cm, length 44cm. Comes in a cardboard tube for protection
