Halio | Pāua halo necklace

A simple ring pendant which shows some the hidden layers within the shell.

The ring is made by joining two pieces of shell together, then carving into an evenly rounded ring. This allows both sides of the pendant to have colour and gives extra strength. It also allows enough thickness to sand through the layers to show some of its hidden and most radiant layers.

The pendant is shaped till the edges are evenly rounded inside and out. It is then finely sanded and polished for an iridescent result. The colours sometimes change with movement and different light levels.
