Taranaki Maunga, Mt Taranaki, and its cone shaped form inspired this slip stitch pattern that forms the textile of these wrist warmers. Starting out as a hand-knit swatch they are translated into machine code and made seamlessly on a digital knitting machine. Available in 4 colours, Pōhutukawa (deep red), Kōwhai (ochre yellow) , Ponga (black) and Pikopiko (fern green). 100% camel down 26 cm long x 9 cm wide.

Where are Knit Shepherd products made?

All our products are digitally knitted on a machine in South Auckland. 

What is Camel Down Fibre? 

It is a rare fibre from Bactrian Camels found in Inner Mongolia and China. It is harvested by hand in moulting season. The yarn we use is spun by Woolyarns in Wellington.
